Urban Environmental Education

FGC started environmental education projects in urban communities in Beijing after it registered with the Beijing Civil Affairs Bureau.

The organization carried out an eco-roof project, creating a community herb garden as an innovative means of environmental education that combined gardening with participatory environmental education.

The project involves a number of communities and had already launched 40 environmental education activities by October 2018. It directly encourages environmental awareness in 1,500 residents, cultivates 30 environmental educators, and indirectly affects 6,000 people. The project won the Shijingshan District Public Venture Grand gold prize in 2017.
